Three high mountain passes

The trek crosses three high mountain passes - Renjo La Pass (5,340m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and Kongma La Pass (5,535m) - each providing spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

Mount Everest Base Camp

The trek takes you to the base of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. You'll have the opportunity to see the iconic Khumbu Glacier and the base camp where mountaineers start their ascent.

Gokyo Lakes

The trek also takes you to the beautiful Gokyo Lakes, a series of glacial lakes located at an altitude of 4,700-5,000 meters. The turquoise-colored lakes are surrounded by snow-capped peaks and offer stunning views.

Sherpa culture

The trek passes through several Sherpa villages, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about Sherpa culture and traditions. You can visit monasteries, interact with locals, and try Sherpa cuisine.

Sagarmatha National Park

The trek is also a great opportunity to explore the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including the Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, and musk deer.

Panoramic views

The trek provides stunning panoramic views of some of the highest peaks in the world, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu.

Sagarmatha National Park

The trek is also a great opportunity to explore the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including the Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, and musk deer.

Everest Three Passes Trek: Short Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m/9,318ft), then trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,563ft)
Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft)
Day 3: Rest day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft)
Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m/14,300ft)
Day 6: Rest day in Dingboche for acclimatization
Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m/16,207ft)
Day 8: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m/16,961ft), then hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,598ft)
Day 9: Hike from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft), then trek to Dzongla (4,830m/15,850ft)
Day 10: Trek from Dzongla to Cho La Pass (5,420m/17,782ft), then to Thangnak (4,700m/15,419ft)
Day 11: Trek from Thangnak to Gokyo (4,790m/15,715ft)

Clothing: Warm and comfortable clothes are essential for the trek. You should carry a warm jacket, waterproof pants, trekking boots, warm socks, gloves, and a hat. Sleeping bag: You will need a warm sleeping bag that can handle temperatures as low as -10°C. Backpack: A comfortable and sturdy backpack is necessary to carry all your essentials during the trek. Water bottle and water purification tablets: You should carry a reusable water bottle and water purification tablets to ensure you have access to safe drinking water. Trekking poles: Trekking poles can help reduce the impact on your knees and improve your balance on the challenging terrain. Sunglasses and sunscreen: The sun's rays can be intense at high altitudes, so it's important to protect your skin and eyes. First aid kit: A first aid kit should include basic medicines, bandages, and blister care items. Headlamp: A headlamp can be useful during early morning starts and in case of any unexpected delays. Cash and important documents: You should carry enough cash to cover your expenses during the trek, along with your passport and travel insurance documents. Snacks and energy bars: You will need plenty of snacks and energy bars to keep you energized during the long days of hiking.

Booking and Payment: To confirm your booking, you will be required to pay a deposit to the trekking company. The remaining balance should be paid before the start of the trek. Some companies may also require you to pay a cancellation fee if you decide to cancel your booking. Health and Fitness: The Everest Three Passes Trek is a physically demanding trek that requires a good level of fitness. You should consult with your doctor before undertaking the trek to ensure that you are in good health. The trekking company may also require you to provide a medical certificate stating that you are fit to undertake the trek. Travel Insurance: You are required to have travel insurance that covers the cost of medical treatment, evacuation, and repatriation in case of an emergency. Itinerary Changes: The trekking company may change the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather or political unrest. You should be aware that changes to the itinerary may result in additional costs. Equipment: You are responsible for bringing your own equipment such as clothing, sleeping bag, and trekking poles. However, the trekking company may provide some equipment such as tents and cooking utensils. Liability: The trekking company is not liable for any injury, illness, or death that occurs during the trek. You will be required to sign a liability waiver before undertaking the trek. Environmental Responsibility: You are expected to follow the Leave No Trace principles and take care of the environment. You should not litter, damage the flora and fauna, or disturb the local communities. Cancellation & Booking Changes In order to confirm your bookings, we require a non refundable sum of US$ 200 (US$ Two Hundred) only per person. You can transfer us by bank or pay with credit card. The balance rest of the trip amount can be paid upon you arrival in Kathmandu or any time before your trip starts. Any amount charged to you by your bank for transferring the sum to us or while paying by credit cards 3% extra will be added for card processing fee. All rates are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. If you leave the trip group, whatever the reason be, once the trip starts, no refund will be given for any unused portion of the trip. If you cancel your trekking tour within 15 to 30 days of the start date, you may be charged 25% of the total trekking cost. If you cancel within 14 days of the start date or during the trek, you may be charged up to 100% of the total cost.
