Kakani Hike: Short Itinerary

1. Start the hike early in the morning from the village of Kakani, located about 25 km northwest of Kathmandu. Hire a local guide if needed.
2. Follow the well-marked trail through the lush forests and up the hills, enjoying the cool mountain breeze and stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range.
3. After about 2-3 hours of hiking, reach the summit of Kakani Hill, which stands at an elevation of 2,073 meters. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the snow-capped peaks of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges.
4. Explore the nearby Kakani Tower, which is a popular spot for paragliding and offers stunning panoramic views of the mountains and valleys.
5. Enjoy a picnic lunch or snack at the summit while taking in the scenery.
6. After resting and exploring the summit, begin the descent back down to Kakani village.
7. Once you return to the village, take some time to explore the local shops and cafes before returning to Kathmandu.
