Phulchowki Hike: Short Itinerary

1. Start early in the morning from Kathmandu and drive to Godavari, which is about 14 kilometers away from the city center.
2.From Godavari, start hiking up the Phulchowki Hill. The trail passes through a dense forest of rhododendrons and other local vegetation.
3. The hike is steep in some places and can take around 5-6 hours to reach the summit of Phulchowki Hill, which is at an elevation of 2,782 meters.
4. After reaching the summit, take a break and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
5. After taking in the views, start hiking back down to Godavari and then return to Kathmandu by car.

Water bottle: Carry a reusable water bottle or hydration system to stay hydrated throughout the hike. Snacks: Pack some lightweight, high-energy snacks such as trail mix, energy bars, or fruit to keep your energy levels up throughout the hike. Weather-appropriate clothing: Check the weather forecast before you go and dress accordingly. Layers are key as temperatures can vary throughout the day and with elevation changes. Sun protection: Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the strong Himalayan sun. Comfortable hiking shoes or boots: Choose sturdy, comfortable shoes or boots with good traction for the steep, uneven terrain. Camera: Don't forget to bring a camera or smartphone to capture the stunning views along the way. First aid kit: Carry a basic first aid kit with items such as band-aids, gauze, and antiseptic wipes.
